Coach Lane has been coaching football for twenty years. He spent eleven of those years as a high school head coach, four as a defensive coordinator, and five as an assistant position coach.

Rich married his wonderful wife Dr. Brandi Lane twenty years ago. She is a psychologist and they have three wonderful children RJ, Eli, and Raylan. He currently teaches chemistry at Olathe East High School.
